The Coalition for Women Human Rights Defenders Tanzania conducted a two-day training from 15 to 16 January 2025, focusing on Gender and Reproductive Health (SRHR) and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) system. During the training, participants had the opportunity to review and verify the UPR Government Report on Human Rights, specifically in the area of Reproductive and Gender Health. The training aimed to enhance their knowledge and advocacy skills, enabling them to engage more effectively in the UPR process and promote human rights in these areas. This training is part of a short-term project supported by the Irish Embassy in Tanzania.

Last week, CWHRDs TZ participated in a planning and implementation meeting of the collaborative project on Women and Peace (Mwanamke na Amani) with @cyd_zanzibar and other CSOs in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar under @Sisterswithoughtboarders peace program supported by @Unitedstatepeaceinstitute (USPI). This project aims to capacitate women to take leadership in peace building and conflict resolutions in Districts of Kilwa, Bagamoyo and Kisarawe.
